Privacydelaatco.com has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for this web site. It relates to e-mail and anonymous reporting processes, with an emphasis on the anonymous processes such as the Natural Justice service. We Protect You By Making You Electronically UnidentifiableBecause the success of de Laat & Co reporting depends on you feeling confident that you can say what you feel without any concern about being identified, it is important that you understand how the de Laat & Co reporting system protects you. Because you fill out the form on the web site and do not send e-mail, we cannot tell who is sending the form. We only know which computer server it is coming from and, unless you are one of the very rare people who have your own personal server (i.e. you do not have an Internet Service Provider), we cannot tell anything about you. This is exactly what we want. Even if you are at work and use the Internet, we cannot tell who sent the message. Protect Yourself By Not Giving Any Identifying InformationIt is very important that you read the instructions on the Report Form carefully and do not tell us anything that will identify you to the organization that is the subject of the Report. We repeat often that the aim of de Laat & Co is to create a positive change for everybody. Keeping you anonymous is not just to protect you, but to make sure the information you give is generalized and used as proper survey feedback data. Information that is personalized is not used effectively and more often results in "witch hunts". This does not help you or the organization, so help us to help you by not identifying yourself. What If I Am Identified Somehow? The de Laat & Co Network will identify on the Client site the name of the nominated person to whom Reports will be submitted. This will usually be a very senior person or a specialist in Employee Relations. Either way, it is the de Laat & Co view that the Client who employs the de Laat & Co Network is interested in improving the employee culture for the benefit of all and will want to protect the individual as much as we do. We scrutinize all Reports, but because we are not experts on our Clients internal affairs we may miss subtle information that identifies you or your work area. So the safe way to deal with the Report is to use the old adage, "If in doubt, leave it out". We have found that you can send a very powerful message without getting personal. Just concentrate on the facts. Incident Reporting FormWe have strict instructions on our forms to ensure that respondents are aware of our desire to protect their privacy and make them fully aware of the need to protect themselves. We do everything we can to ensure that the report our client gets is a compilation of anonymous information that provides useful guidance on improving culture. The main reason for including a suggestions for improvement area is to give equal attention to change for the better, as opposed to focusing only on the past. However, no part of the Form is compulsory for a successful submission. Security After SubmissionYour submissions are not stored at all on the web server nor on any computer after a single written report is submitted to our clients. We use data on the number of submissions, not the content, to report global de Laat & Co levels. We believe that the data belongs to the Client and that by transferring exclusive ownership of the data to the Client we remain true to our philosophy of being a provider of high quality data without encroaching on the Client's responsibility for shaping their culture. In addition, although we do advise clients on strategy after the Reporting process is complete if they request this as a service, we do not discuss individual cases.
